Upload drawings
What this accomplishes
Section titled “What this accomplishes”Adds drawing files to a project so Bobyard can split PDFs into pages and prepare them for takeoff.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Edit access on the project’s workspace
- PDF or image files ready to upload
- Open the project and select Upload / Manage under Takeoff files, or go to Files in the project menu (
/files/{projectUUID}). - Upload one or more files using the upload control (or drag-and-drop if available in your UI).
- Watch upload progress messages while files transfer.
- Wait until each file finishes processing and pages appear in the file list.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”Each PDF becomes one or more pages under the file. Page names may be filled from sheet information when processing detects them.
Limits and cautions
Section titled “Limits and cautions”- PDF uploads are limited to 250 pages per file. If a PDF is larger, you see: PDF uploads are limited to 250 pages. {file} has {N} pages. Split the drawing into smaller PDFs and try again.
- Keep the browser tab open during large uploads when possible.
- Processing continues after upload; pages may appear before all AI prep finishes.
