Build an estimate
What this accomplishes
Section titled “What this accomplishes”Opens the project Estimate table so you can review takeoff-driven quantities and prepare pricing.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Project with takeoff measurements (recommended)
- Access to the project (edit required to change estimate data)
- From the project dashboard or logo menu, select Estimate (
/estimate/{projectUUID}). - If the gate modal Items Need Attention Before Estimate appears:
- Choose Review & Fix to return to takeoff, or
- Choose Proceed Anyway to continue.
- Review estimate rows linked to your measurements and groups.
- Update pricing, assemblies, columns, and notes as needed for your company’s workflow.
- When ready to produce a deliverable, select Export.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”The estimate table reflects takeoff quantities. Changes are available for bid/PDF export.
- Newer Cost Database / Estimate experiences may appear when enabled for your company.
- Guests and view-only users can typically review estimate data but not edit it.
- Default units of measure commonly map count →
ea, length →ft, and areas →ft2(metric settings may change display).
